Being aware and making responsible choices when you are drinking alcohol – is just plain hard.
Alcohol can impair your judgment, so you need to get the facts before you start drinking.

Recipe: Mix Public Health with #DrinkSmartTIPS
P – Plan your night. Stay home if you are not feeling well. Think about who you are going with, how you will get to/from, and where you are going. Don’t forget to wear a mask and practice social distancing.
A – Alternate your drinks with water and do not forget to eat before and while you are drinking. Avoid sharing cups and drinks.
C – Count. Track the number of drinks you consume and always pour them yourself when possible. Take your drink with you to the washroom and wash your hands.
T – Time matters. Limit yourself to 1 drink every 60-90 minutes. This will give your body a chance to process the alcohol. Remember to distance your drinks and yourselves.
These 4 tips can help you have fun but stay safe. Do not let anyone influence how much alcohol you consume. It is your body. Your choice.
